Venue :
Chillington Manor
Location :

Maidstone, Kent

Investigation Date :
23rd September 2005

Our second Investigation takes us to Chillington Manor – a very attractive Elizabethan manor house built in 1562 in the centre of Maidstone .

This once near derelict Manor House was restored around 1870 and first opened as Maidstone Museum in 1858, later becoming the Museum and Bentlif Art Gallery in 1889.

During the light hours, this building is beautiful. You can feel a huge Spirit presence as you wander its many rooms looking at the Historical displays within; but what we want to know is whether its ‘chilling' name lives up to its reputation of being a very creepy old house when the sun goes down…!
